I think that this driver does not match to the camera, because even on Ubuntu it doesn't work properly. The same result: a black screen. Is there another suggestion? I have the exact same issue on a VX It is a pretty old camera I had lying around. Yea, it's an ancient USB cam from the bucket-o-stuff. Falling back to the faster MJPG mode consider changing cmd line options. Thanks, that helps actually! Will put together a fix, hopefully this weekend.
I have this issue as well! I am excited to see that a solution is on the horizon. I ran into this issue just now, using octopi with an older webcam. You have a different problem.
