Specs for Sims 4 are not out and there's no way of telling what it will need. March Can't help you with the mac specs but since the game is not native to macs, there are many issues but on a PC, make sure you have a dedicated graphics card.

I don't work or have any association with EA. Please only contact me via PM when asked to do so. The game requires a graphics chip with a minimum of mb. To play all TS3 packs you need a mid level gaming computer or better. I use an iMac. If you want to go with the iMac then you want to get as much RAM as possible 8 GB is OK but 16 would be better - it's a lot cheaper to replace the RAM yourself as when you buy it through Apple it's very expensive , especially if you intend to install a lot of expansion packs for the game.

If you are going to use the computer for lots of things then it might be worth getting a Mac, but if your main aim is to play TS3, then, as much as I love Macs, I would go with a PC because then you would avoid the additional problems that are encountered by Mac simmers.

If you remain keen on a Mac then I would recommend you read these threads:. Before you spend a load of money on a new computer, though, are you sure you can't fix your game on your current computer. Is that a Mac? Alienware is typically gaming-oriented Does the game "stutter" or does it completely lock up and hang the system? Good performance that suddenly degrades after a while is an indication of the system overheating clean out the dust. I think its about 2 years old, max.

I have noticed it does have a problem with overheating though. It was sent in twice to Alienware already to fix it.
