If not, make sure you have disabled or set to 'none' the floppy setting in the bios 2 - try to reboot, but do a 'recover' rather than a new install Cheers.

Sign in Already have an account? Only install TinyXP onto a freshly formatted partition or hard disk. There is no upgrade option available in TinyXP, because the option is removed. You do not need any product key in this release - the installation of TinyXP is unattended, once you choose the drive or partition on which to install TinyXP.

Even on option nine, the product key is filled in for you on the screen, you simply click next without having to type a key in. All installations are set to US English. Windows XP is completely up to date and as Bill Gates intended. For people who don't like Microsoft programs Mozilla Firefox v3. For people who want the most features Options 1, 2, 3, and 4 are as full as this Windows XP could possibly be made, while still fitting everything onto a Mb CD.

You still have System Restore, games, almost every single service. The only removed services are removed because they are annoying, not to save space, all functionality is still there. All services are set to their default settings.

This is the recommended installation, the first option, because it is the most complete one - with added drivers too. For people who want a smaller faster leaner BARE installation Options 5, 6, 7, and 8 are as stripped as Windows XP can be made without losing vital functionality like local networking.

Bear in mind that a lot of components are removed from these options! For example, games, themes, even Windows Firewall is removed. This allows you to access your disks in a completely separate Windows XP environment where you can get to your data if a virus is stopping Windows from booting normally.

Some people that have used the original TinyXP Beast Edition have reported hearing bumps in the night. You have been warned In the normal not unattended editions of Windows you have access to the "Repair" option. You can install Windows as an "upgrade" from within Windows with the usual setup.

You do not need any product key in this release. The only thing you will not get asked for is a product key. With the four "normal" installations, you can access the "Repair Option" and the "Recovery Console". In the the "unattended" installations, no user input is required, Windows will automatically install.

All you have to do is format your partition or hard disk and leave Windows to install all by itself. All unattended installations are set to "US English" for the language choice, but your keyboard settings can be changed in Control Panel after installation. There are no adverse effects from using the unattended option, but be aware that the "Repair Option" and "Recovery Console" are both not available in these types of Windows installations.

Remember this in case you make a standalone ISO file of the option. For example, DirectX is not added, the. NET Framework is not added, or Silverlight. The addon only updates Windows XP with the necessary updates.
